The Pelletiers do a "Snowbird Tour" Annually.
This page has been created for Activity Directors of RV and Golf Resorts
in the sunny southern USA wanting to know more about THE FREDDIE AND SHEILA
SHOW. Here's the answers to some of your questions!
WHAT CAN I EXPECT WHEN I GO TO A FREDDIE AND SHEILA SHOW?
This dynamic husband/wife duo perform in a concert style setting with the rich
full sound of their 1909 and 1920 Martin guitars. They give their audience
an energetic 'live' performance (no use of background tracks). Combine that
with 'off the cuff' humor and you've got an exciting show worth booking!
Freddie is an extraordinary guitar instrumentalist. He emulates
the works of great American country guitarists like Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed and
others. At some point in the show he'll clog his feet and might even perform a
novelty act where he plays two tunes at the same time, sings a third tune and
clogs!! Sheila is an experienced rhythm guitarist with a crystal clear voice
and sings country classics, gospel and a handful of 'yodeling' western tunes.
They have been performing in the 'snowbird circuit' for eight years and have
established themselves as a top act in these areas.
WHERE ARE THEY FROM?
Freddie and Sheila live on 100 acres overlooking poplar forest and farm
land at Birch Hills, Saskatchewan, Canada (about 2 hours north of
Saskatoon). Playing guitar has been Freddie's career since 1969.
Sheila moonlights as a registered nurse (in her spare time!) Freddie
and Sheila perform across Western Canada when not in the States and
operate a successful guitar and music camp through-out the summer.

WHAT TIME OF YEAR ARE THEY IN MY AREA?
Freddie and Sheila are not in the southern US until January. They spend the
month of January in Texas then move on to Arizona by the end of the month or
the beginning of February. They typically move around between Arizona and
California until the beginning of April.
I HEAR THEY OFTEN BRING SPECIAL MUSICAL GUESTS WITH THEM!
Yes they do! All guests are highly skilled professional musician/entertainers.
One such guest is often Freddie's son, Clint Pelletier. To hear this family
perform together is truly something special and to witness the interaction
between father and son on their guitars is something you don't want to miss.
To learn more about Clint Pelletier go to
www.ClintonPelletier.com.
Metro, the crazy comedian from Saskachewan, has joined the show in the Yuma, AZ area
in 2009 & 2010. Western Canada is all too familiar with Metro who enjoyed a successful
career in the 1970's. His Christmas album of the time, "The 11 Days From Christmas" hit
gold record status and Metro's success still follows him to this day.
Yuma shows are sell-outs as are most of the Christmas shows that Metro invites Freddie
and Sheila to back in Saskatchewan. To learn more about Metro go to
www.metroscomedy.com.
They will always contact you by phone or written letter by at least the end of
November prior to the show to OK the addition of their guests with you.
I'D LIKE TO HEAR A SAMPLE OF THEIR MUSIC. HOW CAN I DO THAT?
You can go to the
Product page on this website and click
on any MP3 Sample.
There are two or three songs on each CD listed on the product page as having
samples available. Please note that these samples are compressed for internet
access and will be of a lower quality than the actual CD. They can also send you
a demo CD in the mail.
You can also hear all (17 songs) or any one of the songs that CBC recorded of a live concert that
"The Pelletier Trio" did April 25th at the Shellbrook Theatre in SK.
CBC Recorded Concert.
DO THEY HAVE ANY VIDEO THAT I CAN VIEW?
Yes, you can go to
www.youtube.com/freddiepelletier to view

WHAT HAVE THEY ACCOMPLISHED IN THEIR MUSICAL CAREERS?

over the years has played for the likes of Ferlin Husky, Billy Grammar, Red Sovine
and Mac Wiseman. He toured with Canadian singer-songwriter, Ian Tyson (writer
of the Carter Family's 'Four Strong Winds') and fiddler, Al Cherney. Refer to
the

Sheila was the winner of a 1993 Saskatchewan singing contest that allowed her
to showcase her voice nationally during Canadian Country Music Week. She was
the 2005 recipient of the YWCA Women of Distinction award in the Arts category
with an all female music group she performs with. Refer to the
Biographies page on
this site for full bio of Sheila.
If Clint is joining Freddie and Sheila for your show - Clint has played guitar
for Rounder Records fiddler and step-dance sensation, April Verch and with music
and dance troupe, 'Barrage'. He now owns and operates a state of the art
digital recording studio called "Reel Time Studios" in Edmonton, Alberta and
heads a jazz quartet called 'Eclectrip', that emulates the work of 1930's jazz
guitarist, Django Rheinhart. Refer to Biographies page on this site for full

WHAT ARE THE NAMES OF SOME SONGS CAN WE EXPECT TO HEAR?
Freddie and Sheila are constantly learning new material. They pride
themselves on the fact that they don't stick to a regimented set list.
There are fan favorites that they might perform more often but you will
never hear them repeat a show entirely and you can go to a half dozen or
more shows and hear new tunes every time.
They also take requests through-out the show which leads to interaction
between them and their audience. It's fun for everyone to see if you can
stump Freddie and/or Sheila!
Examples of some song titles they might play:
Chet Atkins Instrumentals like Freight Train, Wildwood Flower
Country Classics like Stand By Your Man, Coat of Many Colors
Gospel Songs like Ave Maria, How Great Thou Art
Bluegrass instrumentals like Blackberry Blossom, Foggy Mountain Breakdown
Western and Yodeling songs like Chime Bells, He Taught Me to Yodel
Classics like Danny Boy
Swing Tunes like Sweet Georgia Brown
Various Novelty tunes to make you laugh!
