December 19, 2007   MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE PELLETIER'S

Hi Everyone,
Just want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! All our best to you and your families.

Freddie and I will soon be heading out to perform at RV resorts in the south this winter. We'd like to acknowledge MISSION BELL RV RESORT who are sponsors of the Freddie and Sheila Show this season. We have made a few updates and there have been a couple cancellations. You can also see what dates Clint Pelletier and Allison Granger will be joining us for our performances in AZ and CA. Our CD "Songs of Inspiration" featuring Freddie, myself and Clint Pelletier with our special guest fiddler and singer, Allison Granger is now ready for purchase. We are playing some of your favorite traditional gospel and inspirational music.

We also have Pelletier Guitar and Music Camp T-SHIRTS available. They are pre-shrunk cotton t-shirts in black or white in sizes S, M, L, XL with our camp logo and are only $20 ($5 shipping). See the "Product" page of this web site.

We have also re-ordered and updated some of our product we recently sold out of. The "Beginner Guitar with Freddie and Clinton Pelletier" instructional video is now available only on DVD as is "Hot, Practical Country Guitar Licks with Freddie Pelletier". Hi Everyone, Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

The 6th Annual Pelletier Guitar and Music Camp this past July and August was a huge success with a record breaking 90 participants! Many thanks to all who attended. Thanks also to our instructors, Bob Evans, Dorian Michael, Freddie and Clint Pelletier, Allison Granger, Travis Switzer, Dean Kushneryk and Linda Campbell as well as our support staff, Shirley and Gerry Pelletier. Everyone involved had a part in making it the success we feel it was and for that we are grateful!

Some of you have already phoned or emailed about next year's camp. The "Guitar and Music Camp" page has been revised so be sure to check it out! Our 2008 dates are: Week 1 - July 21-24, Week 2 - July 28-31, Week 3 - Aug. 3-6, Week 4 - Aug. 12-15. We will again be offering the beginner guitar "Strum and Sing" program as it was a very popular class last year. This is a two day (eight hour) class and will be taught again by Linda Campbell of Prince Albert. We'll also offer the finger style guitar class with Bob Evans of Regina, SK. We're thrilled to announce that Bob will be with us for two weeks next year in week 2 and 4. We are also excited to tell you that Dorian Michael of Templeton, California will be teaching all four weeks next year and is available to teach a blues guitar class any or all of those weeks if the interest is there. We feel very fortunate that Bob and Dorian are returning to share their talent and expertise with our participants. We won't be offering a rock class in 2008. However, between Freddie whose background is in country, bluegrass and swing music, Clint, who is adept at jazz, flamenco, rock and bluegrass plus Dorian and Bob, there is a lot of expertise in many musical genres. If you are interested in learning about a specific style of music that isn't offered as a "Special class", just let us know and maybe we can do a workshop during your stay with us or at least give you some one on one instruction.

I will be ordering "Pelletier Guitar and Music Camp" t-shirts this fall for next year's camp and should have them before Christmas. If you are interested in getting one before next summer, please give me a call. Once we get them we'll display them on the "Product" page of this site so you can have a look.

Freddie, Clint, and I, along with fiddler and singer, Allison Granger have just finished a CD of traditional gospel and inspirational songs. Many thanks to Clint for all his recording and guitar work. He put in many long hours to get the project done. We're happy to have Allison involved in the CD! Her beautiful voice and fiddle playing has added a wonderful dimension to our sound. Very refreshing! Thanks for all your hard work too, Alli. We'll be performing in Frobisher, SK Oct. 26, Brandon, MB Oct. 27, Portage La Prairie, MB Oct. 28 and Creelman, SK Nov. 4. To promote our "Songs of Inspiration" CD as well as a traditional fiddle CD (sorry, I don't know the title of it) that Allison has just finished. "Songs of Inspiration" is now posted on the "Product" page.

If you are a snowbird heading to warmer climates soon, our 2008 Snowbird Tour Schedule is posted on our "Tour Schedule" page. Feel free to print it and pass it along to other folks that might be interested in attending. We'll be heading to the Rio Grande Valley in south Texas for the month of January and then will spend Feb. and Mar. in Arizona and California. Clint and Allison will be with us for most of our Feb. shows (it's marked which ones on the schedule). You don't want to miss hearing this talented pair!
