Here's the latest news from Sheila and Freddie

Hi Everyone,

Time has flown by since we last checked in May 22nd! Our Pelletier Guitar and Music Camp was a great success again this year with 80 participants over three weeks. We celebrated Freddie's guitar's birthday each week with a cake and a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday". Yes, I did say we had a party for a guitar! Ha! Freddie calls his guitar "Gurdy" and this parlor sized Martin flat top was made in 1909 (to the best of our knowledge) so she was 100 years old this year. Thanks to all our participants and instructors that went along with our craziness!

This year camp will run Week 1 - July 19-22, Week 2 - July 26-29, Week 3 - Aug. 2-5. We're in full swing with preparations for our 2010 Pelletier Guitar and Music Camp and we are really excited about our line-up of instructors. I'm calling them the A-Team because they are all outstanding musicians and instructors. Along with Freddie, Clint and the amazing Bob Evans of Regina we are welcoming Redd Volkaert of Austin, Texas to our guitar instructors. Redd has such a unique style of playing Telecaster guitar and he's spectacular! He's toured with the legendary Merle Haggard and has played with just about everyone. Artists like Brad Paisley, Ray Price, Vince Gill, Allison Krauss, Dolly Parton to name a few. He's well respected by the country music industry throughout Canada and the United States and we feel extremely fortunate to have him at OUR camp to teach ALL OF YOU! He's with us in week 1 and 2. We're also thrilled to have Daniel Gervais of Edmonton, AB instructing fiddle/mandolin in week 2 and 3. Linda Campbell will be instructing the Very Beginner - Strum and Sing guitar class in week 3, Aug. 2-3. A few instructors are still to be announced depending on number of participants.

We've been performing lately with the crazy comedian, Metro. We started a string of shows on Oct. 31 that winds up Dec. 5th. Another successful Metro's Christmas Tour and we thank him for involving us in his fun! You can check him out at www.metroscomedy.com. He is currently booking shows for fall and Christmas 2010 and if you are interested in having the show in your community, book early as his dates are filling up fast!

We'll be heading to the southern USA after Christmas and perform in Texas, Arizona and California from Jan. 2 to Mar. 27, 2010. Clint will join us from Jan. 2 to Feb. 21 and Metro will do a few shows with us Feb. 28 and Mar. 1-6. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that supports our music whether it's going to a show, buying a CD or learning at our camp. We will always feel truly indebted to you for allowing us to follow our dreams and make a living playing music. We're so glad you enjoy what we do!
