The Pelletiers

Freddie, Sheila and Clint Pelletier are a unique family trio who perform bluegrass, classic country and a variety of guitar instrumental and vocal tunes. They entertain in a stage show setting with their antique "Sears and Roebuck" guitars. The following are brief descriptions of each with a link to a separate page for each - which includes a full biography and photo.

Freddie began his professional career in 1969, spent many years on the road, and lived the musician's life in both Nashville and Toronto before settling in Calgary and forming his own band, "Northwest Rebellion". They acted as house band at the famed "Ranchman's" for two years backing up Canadian and Nashville artists. Freddie toured with and played lead guitar for Ian Tyson, Al Cherney, and Ferlin Husky to name a few. Full biography and photo.

Sheila has been singing in bands since 1985. She won a provincial singing contest in SK in 1993 and played the local festival circuit for years. Freddie and Sheila formed a dance band in 1993 and Clint soon joined in. They found they preferred performing trio in an acoustic concert setting and have spent the past few years doing just that! Clint began playing guitar at age 11 and enrolled in the Grant McEwan College music program in Edmonton in 2000. He moved on to play for Rounder Recording Artist, fiddler and step-dance sensation, April Verch and then for world music fiddle group, "Barrage", touring through-out Canada and the US with both acts. He continues to live in Edmonton and works as a freelance guitarist performing everything from bluegrass to jazz and rock. He has formed a four piece group called Eclectrip with fiddler Dan Gervais. They perform "gypsy-jazz", a form of jazz popular in the 1940's as well as other material. Full biography and photo..

Freddie and Sheila spend winters in the sunny southern US (California, Arizona, and Texas) performing at RV and Golf Resorts for Canadian and US winter visitors. You'll find a number of CD's, cassettes, and teaching videos, on their Product page. You can find the dates and places for their upcoming US tour schedule by going to the Tour Schedule.

The Pelletier family run an annual guitar and music camp at their acreage at Birch Hills each July - August where beginner to advanced players, young and old can improve their skills. You can choose from one (or more) of four sessions in guitar, bass, piano, fiddle or percussion/drums. It's popularity has grown dramatically and space is limited so book early. More information is available by going to their Guitar Camp page.

There are more photos on the Photos page, and on the Media/Promo page you'll find good quality photos that can be downloaded for press and also a poster that can be downloaded and used for promotion.
